Main Ridge sits beside Red Hill in the Mornington Peninsula hinterland, a rural community of scenic hills, farmland and native bush.
Wineries have been planted around here since the 1970s, for a climate that suits pinot noir and chardonnay, and farm gates sell cherries, strawberries and apples in season.
The Peninsula's first licensed winery, established in 1975, with tastings in its historic winery.
Pick-your-own strawberries and other berries in season, with a café and farm shop, at the farm long known as Sunny Ridge.
The largest remaining bushland on the Peninsula, with creek-side walks and kangaroos grazing at dawn and dusk.
